This was my first experience with all the teachers of the high school and I have to say that in this kind of centre every decision takes a lot of time. The first topic of the meeting was the suggestion of one teacher to participate in the Comenius Project. This is a project of the European Union which seeks to develop understanding of and between various European cultures through exchanges and co-operation between schools in different countries. The problem was that the students should stay in the house of the families and some of the students of my high school do not live in a house in good conditions and some of the teachers think that it is not fair. Another teacher suggests staying in a hostel, but it may not be allowed. In my opinion I feel quite disappointed, because it is very sad that my students could not enjoy this great opportunity… C’est la vie…

The second point of the meeting was the “Cooperative credit” a project run by the school in the last days of the first term. Every year there is a topic about which the students must work and present projects and at the end they show them in the school. Some of the teachers disagree with it, because they think that the effort that must make to develop the project do not worth it. The language is the topic of this year and the students suggest different works like taking photographs around the district or a radio programme.

The other topics of the meetings were the usual ones: the absenteeism, the project to promote reading or the assessments.
